Skono was born from a simple observation: security testing was broken. Enterprises spent millions on annual penetration tests that provided point-in-time snapshots, while smaller companies were priced out entirely. Security remained reactive, expensive, and inaccessible.

The question was simple: what if security testing could be continuous, AI-powered, and available to organizations of all sizes — not just enterprises with dedicated security teams?

In 2022, we set out to build the answer. Combining deep software engineering with a serious interest in cybersecurity, we created a platform that doesn't just find vulnerabilities — it guides teams through fixing them, automates the repetitive work, and learns from every scan.
